Education
Every pupil leaves his / her mark on the boarding school’s community with their personality. Just as unmistakable as the people is also the atmosphere at Burg Nordeck. We are convinced that only the combination of the conveying of knowledge and character formation allow the young person to mature, therefore we equally encourage intellectual and musical talents, craftmanship and character traits. The combination of school and freetime create the ideal conditions for this.
 Accepting social responsibility also plays an important role at Burg Nordeck. Therefore every pupil is obliged to take on a duty within the community according to his / her age, for example the supervision of the common room.
It is also worth mentioning that the only bell that rings on the grounds of the castle is at mealtime. The bells which usually ring at interval and at the beginning of lessons are unnecessary. This goes to show how independantly and responsibly the young people live here.
Burg Nordeck also regards helping those children who have problems at school or difficulties due to adolescence because of all sorts of reasons, as an important task. The school has its own school Psychologist, who supports the efforts in helping every individual youth. For we want to bring our pupils up to be liberal-minded and open to the responsibilities of our time.
The pupil is the centre of attention.
