Visitors
Visitors are warmly greeted by the children and youths. Experience shows that frequent visits during the first weeks of stay at Burg Nordeck are inconvenient, but after an adequate time of settling in, saying goodbye to the parents is also unproblematic.
We ask for weekday visits not to coincide with the period of quiet. Parent-teacher-consultation days are held several times a year, where all educational colleagues at the school and boarding school are present, this is usually the day of departure at the beginning of the holidays. We think a good personal contact between the parental home and the boarding school is very important, as it can avoid or rectify any difficulties or misunderstandings. We recommend that visits are announced beforehand, especially if a talk with the headmaster or with a specialist subject teacher is wished.
The appropriate day for a visit from your children is Sundays. The children can be picked up during the day in Nordeck and should be brought back by 7.30pm. We ask that the head of the family is quickly greeted, even if it is a very short visit.
